We had an excellent time in El Salvador. Not only was our guide, Don Cesar, and absolute pleasure, both our drivers, William (Willy de la Noche) and Vladamir were deeply patient with us, and Chelsea was the absolute best! From hiking Santa Ana Volcano, cigar rolling with Donia Laura, learning about and tasting delicious coffee, a one-of-a-kind experience with Irma at her Indigo studio, hanging by lake Cotapeque & the pool, a textile class and shopping in Ataco, to surfing in El Zonte, and finished up with my first EVER tattoo, this will be a trip for the books! Not just because it was my 40th birthday gift to myself, or that I got to spend 10 days with my Sissy, but because I made lasting friendships and connections and learned more about myself than I thought possible in 10 days. Thank you Heart of Travel!

Very happy with this tour. It was well-organized, took us off the beaten path w/ some of the activities (e.g., visited a small farm to understand how they work, wool workshop on a separate day, a short walk to some pre-historic art on rock walls, soccer ball manufacturing, others). Surprisingly great food at the two group dinners in Bogota, engaged and excited and informative tour leaders (Annie and Esteban), and a great group of well-traveled guests w/ fun interactions. We've already planned another tour w/ Heart of Travel after this one (which was our third). It's easy to understand why they have a high percentage of repeat guests.

I can't say enough great things about Heart of Travel. First and foremost, their commitment and attention to every detail followed by their excellent communication and follow-up and passion for the country we were in, Guatemala. I highly recommend them as a travel partner.

This was my third trip with Heart of Travel (HOT. HOT created a unique trip focused on connecting with people and fascinating organizations that are doing service-oriented work with needy members of the community. It was a unique travel experience that no other travel company would be able to envision, much less pull off. HOT always creates amazing experiences. Their administrative staff is on top of every need, and the country guides manage every small detail. Everything on the trip, from hotels to daily activities, was smooth and impactful. We booked our honeymoon to Costa Rica and Panama through Heart of Travel and it was the vacation of our dreams. They catered the itinerary to our preferences and were extremely helpful (as were the guides they hired) along the way, including when my husband left his glasses at the hot springs. We did daytime and nighttime hikes, snorkeling, spelunking, and plenty of tours. Our guides made sure that we saw lots of cool wildlife, including sloths, snakes, frogs, monkeys, porcupines, and more. It was so nice to have a fun vacation without having to do all the planning. Would recommend them to anyone who asks about our trip!
