We had a great time and our guide Gustavo was fantastic! A lot of logistical planning must have gone into this trip and it was a well oiled machine. Also appreciate that Gustavo was able to give us a late start the last morning to give us more time in the final Galapagos hotel, which was very nice.

I had an absolutely amazing time. The scenery was surreal. The food was delicious. This was my first heart of travel trip and I was extremely pleased. Everything is taken care of for you. All you have to do is show up and enjoy it.

Heart of Travel does deeper dives into culture and community than any tour company I am familiar with. On this trip we were treated like honored guests in several homes and as welcome friends by some by the end of our stay. Authenticity is a word that is bandied about a lot lately, particularly in the travel industry. It means what it means on Heart of Travel tours. All of the company's guides, the local guides, the hoteliers, the waiters at restaurants and our hotels, the van drivers, taxi drivers, marigold growers - every single one of them - were kind, generous, warm, gracious, helpful and intent on helping us see Oaxaca for the golden place that it is. Making our own ofrenda for our departed friends and family made it real for me. That experience will stay with me for a lifetime. Our guide, Diego, was outstanding in every way. He crushed it! Vera, our local guide was witty and knowing and accommodating and they were both really FUN companions while also watching out for us, looking ahead, changing course when necessary without even a blip. Very impressive. I will travel anywhere with Heart of Travel.

This was my first ever group trip and I have to admit that I was a little nervous, however it was a wonderful experience. The hotel we stayed at was clean and cozy with the absolute sweetest staff. The activities were diverse and curated with a focus on the local indigenous population. The food was incredible! We ate at a few higher end farm-to-table restaurants that were experiences in themselves. As someone who travels with food in mind, I appreciated this. I also appreciated that there was a bit of down/free time. I'm an introvert and need that haha. And lastly, I couldn't have asked for a better guide. Cris was kind and helpful and made the experience truly special. I hope our paths cross again at some point!

This was my first Heart of Travel trip and being that I plan all of my own trips I was a bit unsure of what I signed up for. Well, let me tell you that this was an all-around amazing experience. The service was exceptional! The boutique hotel was perfect. The hotel staff were all attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The location was great. Our tour guide Melanie was the best. She had the best energy and the patience of a saint. We laughed so much with her and she provided unmatched service. She was always available and offered suggestions for our downtime. All of which were amazing! The other ladies in the group were an incredible group of one-of-a-kind girls who instantly clicked. To say I had a great time is an understatement. I've already booked a future trip with some of the girls. Oaxaca captured my heart. Oaxaca, Mexico is a vibrant and welcoming place that immediately makes you feel at home. The people are incredibly friendly and warm — everyone greets you with a smile. The city has a colorful energy that’s impossible to miss: the streets are lined with bright colonial buildings, lively murals, and festive decorations. Oaxaca also feels safe and comfortable. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, and it is easy to wander through the markets, try street food, or enjoy the nightlife without worry. It radiates good energy — it’s a place where you can slow down, connect with people, and truly feel part of the community. There was a great mix of activities on the itinerary with my favorites being the visit to the cemetery and the micro-financing day in San Marcos Tlapazola. Honestly, I enjoyed every activity. This trip and Oaxaca will always have a special place in my heart.

I highly recommend Heart of Travel! I have traveled with them several times, and their customer service is exceptional. They consistently exceed my expectations. Their staff is not only friendly but also pleasant and wonderful to work with. Their pricing is fair and transparent, making it an excellent value for the money. I cannot wait to go on another trip with Heart of Travel!

I cannot recommend Heart of Travel more enthusiastically! We took a trip to Guatemala to see the Giant Kite Festival in Sumpango. It was important to us to learn about Guatemalan culture, people, history, food, and have authentic experiences where we could get to know people. From my very first conversation with the team, I felt confident in their experience and that our values aligned. They absolutely exceeded expectations - everything was perfect! The travel arrangements, hotels, restaurants and activities were all impeccably well executed. The variety and intimate nature of all our activities was superb, as was our amazing guide, Selvyn. His passion for his country and people is heartwarming, his knowledge of culture and history is encyclopedic. He is a consummate professional, taking care of everything we could possibly have needed or wanted. He is also a tremendously warm and wonderful person who we felt really fortunate to get to know. The work by the entire team behind the scenes to ensure a magically seamless trip is impressive. We fell in love with Guatemala; the beauty of the country, warm smiles of the people, amazing food, rich history, and an incredibly well-planned tour led by an expert guide - what's not to love?! You will love Heart of Travel!

Heart of Travel is the best for magical and ethical vacations! Chelsea and her incredible team first won me over in Guatemala in 2023 as they planned a beautiful trip that allowed us to see and experience so many different places, people, and things. A helicopter ride, a volcano hike, spa day, meeting the most badass Mayan weaver!!, a once-in a lifetime sunset tour in Tikal - done. I'm still trying to get over this trip lol. They knocked it out of the park again in Cuba for NYE! Chelsea and the spectacular Paloma had us dancing multiple nights away, eating the BEST food, and seeing ALL the sights while also giving us ample opportunity to support the Cuban people and educating us on why that is so important. You will leave their trips with new memories, new friends, and possibly, some new perspectives. Do it!!!
